Web designer in London for small businesses

I build websites for small businesses, so owners can focus on what they do best

Your website is the digital face of your business and is often the first point of contact for potential customers - let's make it count.

Shop website loads then holds its grand opening A loading bar fills to 100% in a browser window, disappears, then the shop springs up, a sign flips to open, a sheen sweeps the window, and a cute cursor clicks the door open. my-business.co.uk CLOSED OPEN building…

Put your feet up and enjoy the benefits of a bespoke website that works for you

I'll take the headache out of managing your online presence by building and maintaining a website for your business that is hand-crafted, user-friendly, and optimised for performance and SEO.

What you'll get from me
  • Your new website - I will deliver a clean, responsive site that both looks great and performs well on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Bespoke design - Stand apart from competitors relying on off-the-shelf WordPress and Squarespace templates, with a design built to align with your brand.
  • Free Google report - See how your existing website scores across performance, SEO and industry best-practice metrics, as measured by Google.
  • Every page optimised - Benefit from performance, SEO, and accessibility standards that drive leads and help your website stand out from the competition.
  • Content review - Full review of your existing/proposed content with feedback on tone of voice and imagery use.
  • Built-in contact form - A contact form with anti-spam protection so the messages you receive come from real customers (not 🤖).
  • Human talk - I will communicate in plain English, in as much or as little technical detail as you like, so you know exactly what is happening at every stage of the project.
  • No gatekeeping - The important stuff's in your name, so you stay in control of your website at all times.

  • Priority customer - your change requests take priority over freelance hourly-rated work.
  • Keep the lights on - with management of and maintenance to the hosting, email, and security services.
  • Stay on top - proactively keeping up to date with SEO best practice.
  • Rollover time - up to 2 hours of unused development time for any given month gets rolled over to the subsequent month to a maximum of 5 hours.
  • Cancellable at any time - stay covered until the end of the month, at which point you will stop paying the retainer.

£60/hour Minimum 1 hour
What's not included

Domain purchase/renewal fee

For your own peace of mind and security, the domain (your ownership of the website name) stays in your name, with you holding the account and payment details. I'll likely need access to the account initially to set up hosting and email services.

Hosting & form service fees

I can recommend excellent free services for both hosting (Cloudflare) and handling the emails that come through the form (Resend). If you want to use the paid plans offered by these providers, or other services altogether, these must be paid for by you.

Paid SEO

There are multiple factors that influence search result rankings. I can help where the content and the code have an impact on Search Engine Optimisation, but do not cover paid SEO (marketing).
